Killing Time

Feeling grounded
yet searching for sparks
to ignite a small dumpster fire

I kick back in my zero gravity chair
longing to connect
to the collective consciousness

eyes wide open for an open window
to shimmy through, hoping
my ass doesn't get stuck

a fire burns in my ribcage
I'm unsatisfied sitting on the outside
of Dullsville

I beseech my desire
to point out the entrance
as I kill time eating salty crackers

sipping orange san pellegrino
staring at a righteous cloud
that looks a lot like The Buddha
