Bold Talk for a One-Eyed Fat Man

I like John Wayne movies.
What they meant, not sure.
Time will tell, but I liked that
line from True Grit, even
both versions of it.

my favorite line of his was when an hombre kicked his dog, and threatened more ( paraphrasing )....and John Wayne cocked his rifle and said " A man oughta do what he thinks is best "....I wasn't a big fan of his, but i loved that line
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

"I always go backward when I'm backing up" from true grit and "You have to be a man first before you're a gentleman, and he misses on both counts" from mcclintock. really enjoy old cowboy movies and the Duke knew how to do 'em.
I'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than teach 10,000 stars how not to dance.

I always liked "Well, the conversation kind of dried up, ma'am ..." (in response to "You were only supposed to talk to him, why did you have to kill him? ..."), from The Undefeated.
