there are some
sounds
that are sacred
a countenance
that none can see
but the chosen one
a gesture of worship
the prayer ritual
of transcendance
transcends all rites
and rights
for an unknown
sin
i have been
defrocked
become profane
on my knees
i scratch this missive
in the dirt
begging
to be admitted
to repentence
the penitent
the penitent
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

transcendance is a word that has pretty much lost its meaning for me.
Kind of like when you say a word over and over so many times that is looses its meaning.
Just so dumb, I keep having to look up the meaning of transcendant. I remember someone calling brooklyn transcendant. I always think of it as someplace else beyond this vale of tears. But I should know better than to bandy words with you herr professor. going to look up transcendant again and get back to you. I only talk about this stuff because of your reply to mingo's poem. You poets look at each other's work with such a cold eye. But that is probably good, bullshit praise does no good.
I used to equate begging with praying too.
it was humilating, I have not been down on my knees begging in years. But it seemed I heard a still small voice say "ok sleep it off and then get up and walk like man." But it could happen again, I can think of people I love who I would get down on my knees and pray or beg for. Nothing I want to beg for anymore except maybe peace. Yeah I would beg the big guy upstairs for peace if I thought it would do any good.
nice work, just trying to play deconstructionist, don't mean nothing, drive on
a poem that sounds good to me ears but I am not a poet just a the penitent who lost faith in my redemption. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.
this just a gut reaction to your poem, for what it is worth, I liked it, truly I did. thought you might like to know how it struck me.
Well I found 200,000 hits for trancendance and 700,000 for Transcendence. Now I am
Must be a very commonly misspelled word. I could not find transcendance in my dictionary. I guess it was a typo. You have no idea how much less lonely I feel now.

alarm beeping, just woke up like the guy in that movie in the movie Pi, he awoke so suddenly. I must have been dreaming about you e-doggy because the first thing I did was came over here to see if I got the reference to mingo poems right. I thought maybe it was wylde. That was a very fine poem too, wonder what you thought of that one, Washed in the sand. I find it interesting how I find one line that resonates and then I go off into my own little world with a poet's work, that has nothing to do with his/her meaning. You have no idea how ignorant I am about how poetry works, I just like the sound of it, same away with music, no idea, just like the noise it makes. Neologism, I like the sound of that
going to check it out. My head hurts to bad now, got to walk. neologism, kind of rolls of my tongue. I like the word abomination a lot, such a rock and roll sound
Got no idea what it means, new-logic?
what is interesting was the 200,000 vs 700,000 hits on google. I use google a lot just as a spell checker, amazing two hundred thousand people are spelling transcendence wrong..., people with the letters dot edu in their URL,
But I am easily amazed.
walking the dog with e-dog, never thought I would see the day
