There

There

There, among the darkness,
is a pain for having known
what it was to love you
and then to be alone.

There, among the daylight,
only the echo of your moan
stifled by the reality
that you will always go back home.

Going home seems to have left a vacancy in your heart, loved the way you showed that in your poem. iblieve

Dixie, I'm glad that your from Florida. When I read this, I see north Florida. I see Spanish moss sagging from branches like it doesn't wanna be there, but has no other joy in life but to sway back and forth a little in the breeze. I see rain on sunny afternoons when Satan's beating his wife and everyone watches, but no one cares to call the authorities because that's life. It's not just the way it is, but the way it has to be. In touch with reality enough to know there's no point in getting too upset about the bad stuff when it's not that separate from the good stuff to begin with. I love Florida.
