as brilliant as a pheasant

Post by joel » December 23rd, 2005, 2:34 pm

As brilliant as a pheasant:
colors vivid,
ring-neck handsome.
Wring-neck livid.

When brilliant thou my vision
thou transparent
thou my rainbow
air apparent

thou brilliant both in wisdom
high transcendent:
colors humble
worn resplendent.

Damn for glory mounted
wall of trophies.
Wring-neck livid.
Christ and Sophie’s—

as brilliant as a pheasant
colors vivid
grace and mercy;
wring-neck livid

when brilliant thou my vision—
portrait mounted:
wring-neck handsome
love discounted.
