The End of Gravity

Post by WIREMAN » December 24th, 2005, 3:03 pm

Holding down the stone

it's big and heavy

yet it just keeps rising from the ground

holding down the stone

call it an illusion

it's not confusing that

gravity should meet its day

everything turned upside down

in a most peculiar way

holding down the stone

i'm out here holding down the stone
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

Brings to mind the gravity of prudent judgment, decency, and due process, suddenly turned upside-down here at home, following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.... a new era of extremism granted sweeping license by the events of one tragic day.

That may or may not be what you had in mind, but one could read it that way.

interesting.....something like this just comes out of a momentary vision that I roll with...about my existence right Now!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

i lost gravity one time

it was a blessed feeling

not being forced to remain

in the spot i once stood

i sprang from gravity's ledge like a bird
pushed off from that rocky cliff
knocked a few pebbles loose on the way
and watched for a moment
as they fell...

i determine my own level.

Gravity is a centripital voyage..
The tortured mind of this poet
is a hell in which to live
I design my time living in rhymes
incurring madness with which I feel.

gravity
gives us

a reason
to push
off

home is where
you fall down &

get up

& if that is lost

you might as well

let the stone
go it's own way

But I'm just guessing
you put it in it's place
eventually
