My simple meditation on the means

Post by joel » January 25th, 2006, 12:28 pm

My simple meditation on the means
of grace: both alien and imminent—
a metaphor of paradox. And you
appear as such for me, as close I’ve known

of grace. Both alien and imminent—
transcendent, yes, you somehow far away
appear. As such for me, as close I’ve known,
no matter’s more beside my place than you

transcendent—yes, you. And somehow far away
from stagnant yesterdays: new means of grace.
No matter’s more beside my place than you—
are you aware? I trust of course you are.

From stagnant yesterdays, new means of grace
adorn with early colors latest night.
Are you aware? I trust of course you are;
I trust you love with joy; I trust you grace.

Adorn with early colors latest night,
you means of grace who color black-and-white.
I trust you love with joy; I trust you grace
my simple meditation on the means.

it sounds like a prayer. I like the repetitions and the broken sintaxis.

trap yourself in your mind and all will be alright, but if you seek truth through other's eyes depression will ride you like a broken horse's revenge!
