Alternity

Post by mtmynd » February 26th, 2006, 7:36 pm

Alternity

born alone
die alone
and into
the abyss
our self
flies
mortally
wounded

ground to
a halt
for salt
to set
into our
wounds
screaming
for life

to know
of
who
when
where
why
we step
off the
rock
and
roll into
the great
dream
of words
scribed
into minds
fresh from
alternity

aloneness
is not
lonely
but a
frame
fresh from
an edenic
wonderland
supporting
our wish
to become
at peace with
our original
f a c e
grinning back
into our
empty mirror
of being
.

an alternative eternity
has me in it's spell
of insignificant
yet salubrious
incontinence

beam me up Scotty
I've been alone too long

and here's to becoming at peace with our original f a c e
and grinning back into our empty mirrors of being

lovely read, absolutely lovely

ps: did you mean to have a tit in your alternitity or did it leap in of it's own accord? I mean to say...your poem is called alternity but in the body of your poetics you put alternitity should it be so?

(I appear to be talking like Spock. Should it be so?)

B-N-S Hah!

I can vouch that M.T. likes to put a 'tit' in all his work (I am sure this was but a mispelling...)

Many of his paintings have a 'tit' in them so it must come naturally.

Cec...nicely done, even with an extra 'tit'.

Alternity
Bleeding ink

Called Ying and Yang
Westerners got to complicate the simple
And the Easterners use occam's razor to keep it simple

i appreciated the visual set up of this work, the images it formed from the page to my eye, like rising and falling.

Yes. So why then, though, does it seem that however at peace the frame is with us, we (read: I) can't bring myself to be at peace with aloneness? We might die alone, but originally it took community to get us out.
