UNKNOWN SOULS TO WAR

Tell me that its not so
the metal of a lost image
used to cut the seas
on to a war they do not know
lying waist to the reasons they die

Tell me that its not so
souls embedded within
20 tons of molten steel
just to cast a bow
setting upon the sea
for all to see our might
but what is the price?

Tell me that it's not so
those unknown to sail
forever upon seas of destruction
toward a destiny not meant for them
they should be the heirs of peace
their souls gilding with tenderness
those in need, those in distress.

Tell me it is not so
Into war they should not go
Eternally fighting, but which foe?
