Lemon Pop Tart Angel Fish Squeeze

Post by mousey1 » May 17th, 2006, 2:15 pm

Sailing down the river
drunk on wine
I mentioned to my lover...
My God you're fine

He jumped overbored
It's all in the timing
I guess

Stuck a quarter in a jukebox
picked a favorite tune
started jumpin' and ajivin'
kicked off both my shoes
before I knew what happened
I was outside on my knees...

No shirt

No shoes

No service

Walking in the moonlight
Wishing on a star

Drank a little too much happiness
Vomited on the bar

I whispered, "Hey Bartender
pour another won't you please

for life is like a lemon

if you want drama

you gotta squeeze"
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

I was laughing at your opening lines and with the humor you mixed the truth, squeeze life hard to get the juice even if it might be sour. I do love your poetry. "C"

if you want drama, push me into a corner. I like the "no shirt, no shoes, no service" lines. Kind of reminds me if you're not like the rest you're not wanted; or perhaps if your not with the in crowd then you get overlooked. Just thoughts.

Always enjoy your words mousey.

8) cool, yo. cool.

i used to have a friend who smoked the rat poison to let his mind wander in different directions. i think he woulda liked to've ended up where you at. so here's the squeeze: how's a mouse go down the rat poison road and make it into lemonade?

beautiful words.

I could NOT let this fall off the page for even just the title alone makes me smile...nice write!

& as I always say...when life hands you lemons buy some tequila!

(That might not be the sagest advice...but bare with me I've been handed plenty of lemons!)

Thank-you all for the reading and the nice words.

I'm always looking for the f-u-n in the p-o-e-t-r-y
and
for the f-u-n in l-i-f-e

I felt the squeeze of the lemon
I felt the juice squirt in my eye
I felt the lovin' darlin'
and I'm floatin' on the natural high

here's to livin' lovin' laughin'
and the spurt of life's delicately tart juices
keepin' us alive
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse
