The gentle sway of wingless dreams
lures silent dreamers mindless
marching endlessly to paradise-perfect
conformed and uniformed poets: what is this?

trapped under a faulty safety harness
built of hopes and fantasy
then carried away by wingless dreams
scarred by thoughts of flying away

yet grounded in the breeze of a windless land
silent dreamers caught in a web of desire
tangled in the cloth of wishes
then burst aflame in reality's fire

flesh charred and melted away
wrapped in a dreamers scream
left in a world of maybe
that I like to call my wingless dream
