Echo

Post by ~K » June 8th, 2006, 10:41 am

So many

words I wished
to find your path

& here I stand
in the shadow
of that dream.

Repeating myself

until my throat is raw
because you only

hear me
when my
voice is lost.

I hear
His voice
in your smile

I see His
whim in
drying ink

In the pretend
that
you
are
He
joined
by strings
pulling me in

Your voice
was never lost

but gained
a soul

and a very
wishful
audience

Dawn

I am
drowned in
the lush visions
of your
shattering
silence.

I will not
be happy
until you
come back
to haunt me.

in charcoaled lines
a shaded smile

sketch of happiness

leaving his hands
stained by my lips

my laughter etched
into the edges
of his fingerprints

he haunted me

and still i wait

for my papercut
heart

to be drawn in
again

by the subtle art of his charm

Thirty-six words
and a simple symbol
and

so few sounds
spoke to me
haunted me

written in electric corners
where I don't know
whether or not I'll stumble
upon

vocalized in thought
quiet as thought
quiet as potentiality

& what potential
do I have
from which to respond?
