As awed and blinded

Post by joel » January 31st, 2007, 7:23 pm

As awed and blinded visions surely belt
a lion’s first-time opened eye, when all
of life has formerly been passed in dark
seclusion, thinly veiled within the blood
red walls of safest womb and safer birth
and hidden safe developments; when day
has only condescended to be known
as heat— and sun has ever only shown
a brightness relative to shade— and play
has not enjoyed exchange with view of earth—
as sure profoundly stimulations flood
all previous assumed perfections, stark
amazement possibilities recall
how first my flesh arose in loves I’ve felt.
"Every genuinely religious person is a heretic, and therefore a revolutionary" -- GBShaw
