TT,

You know I always light a fire in the great hall on Friday afternoon during December, January and February. If residents kept calendars they wouldn’t keep asking me. It’s a very popular time in the great hall. Residents who keep calendars are more active. Everything that happens makes more sense that way, but you can’t make people do what they don’t want to do. LOL.

Mrs. Poke helps me get other residents to the great hall since she’s ambulatory. She talked me into putting up the card tables, even though Wednesdays are card days. It’s okay, just a little extra work for me. But that’s one of the reasons I think she could be in charge of the party idea you had. She keeps a calendar, and everybody likes her. She doesn’t ask me a lot of questions, and she always looks where she’s going. Other residents I would worry about, but not her.

I think you were thinking about Friday afternoons for the cabaret right? We can start in March since the fire times will be over in the great hall. I asked Mrs. Poke if she thought the residents would take turns reading out loud and singing at a party once a week. She said “of course,” so I guess she would help with this.

Let me know what you want me to do, SL
