Joy is/ (or Poem to my Sister)

Post by hester_prynne » March 6th, 2007, 5:18 am

Twirly twirlys,
tred on my heart.
Like a chirping bird,
joy is

Unexpected envelope,
contents, a miracle.
A skeptic feeling love,
joy is

Pressure drop,
gushes to empty.
Hope's astonished cry,
joy is.

I halfway want your sister be named Hope--and the other half I want her to be Joy. But I fully hope she, like my own, can carry the name Twirly Twirlys--because those are my kind of people.
