For loons

Post by joel » September 12th, 2007, 11:16 am

Do honors or do horrors odd, odd prowl
on soft, on hollow moon-shown ponds—
on prow Rococo pools of orthodox
pro bono roots? O song of sob mob loons—
so long, so low to woo—lo, too to pox;
so soon, O howl of wool on top of cold,
of brook sop rocks, shock follows. Host of song,
O boon of compost both of good, of wrong:
how good show moors of comfort now, now rolled
on stormsongs good to know. Bold Homo’s cocks
yowl too, too oft for loft-soft songs of loons
to croon, to blow, to crow monsoons for blocks
to root on pond or pool for good, for bonds
of honors or of horrors odd of fowl.
