the Duke of Bones

Post by Marksman45 » November 8th, 2004, 6:43 am

"I am the rushes
I am the wraith" -- GO

Bellow wind yellow wind, blow down low
bowl to the cross-rift row-on-row
The one-eyed jack with more bones in his back
than stones on that low grey hill
got the trees whistling to the long night music
when the moonlight starts t'spill
Fishnet skeletons in the pumpkin patch
and the scarecrow joined the dance.

Duke's long-haft ladle spoons the undertow
and -whink-shish- scoops up the clink-fish
and lays him out in a row.
And a dozen blue-whistle bottleneck batflies
buzzbombed the blackheart barn
And the bristlin' hatchet whistles close
to the fiddler & his yarn.

This is the big string jam
in a firecan
Bones pick out the lead
from a haystraw in a needlestack,
the blackest bone in Duke's cracked back

thanks

I wrote this in a Denny's while drinking too much coffee and smoking too many cigarrettes while thinking about how heinous the goofy cartoon halloween decorations were. So I wrote my own halloween decorations
