Madame Lotus

Post by hester_prynne » November 30th, 2007, 4:15 pm

Spirits!
Travel me
out of here,
to my other
preferred constancy.
Remove me,
from these roundflats,
take me back,
to wavy watery,
where your trees
hum gospel tunes,
energy whirs,
softly,
gently,
in harmless
kindnesses,
where I am free to be,
madame lotus again,
high priestess
of faith,
humble honoree
of harmony,
hardly anything
at all.
"I am a victim of society, and, an entertainer"........DW

They ate
the Lotus
fruit. It made
'em sick, they threw
up. Then ate some more,
then walked into
the jungle,
never to be seen
but only heard
again.

Madame Lotus sounds lovely. If she ran a house, I'm sure it would be of good repute...and if not, who would care in a place like that? (I bet they have internet wherever it is...unlike my still-samping-and-working-long-days...but then again, it's good after not having had something to do this past summer....)
