Ano Domini

Post by e_dog » December 26th, 2007, 6:55 am

God the Father
knocked up the virgin Mary
cuckolded Joe
hard-working and weary.

Day after Christmas
'fore post-pardem sets in
the mother sits nursing
the Saviour from sin.

Wise men and shepherds
from near and from far
come to see the babe
whoever He are.

God the Father
abandoned His Son,
but the Holy Spirit, not.
And History was begun.

No, more like a

Neo-Scholastic nursury-rhyme....
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

Gave me a calendar.

I always wondered about that.

But then I always wonder about any sort of counting system.

The juxtians were delusional enough to believe in virginal births, and to uphold the old Romanish pagan calendar as well: Sept as in 7th is really the ninth month, Oct. the 8th month, is 10th, and so on. And some worship of some gents from, uh, non-virginal births: Julius C and his cuz Augustus. Robespierre and Co and others made some attempts to correct but still Caesar time (with a few juxtian days off). This be Nivose, according to frenchie red time.

(nice p**m).
