Parts and Partnerships

Post by Lightning Rod » May 5th, 2008, 1:25 pm

she said I was just partly a partner
but in a partnership, everybody must play their part

so I had to depart
to my Spartan existence

I'm no partisan, not republican or democrat
but apart from this foolish spat
siamese twins must get sick of each other
even though they share a heart
even in a perfect partnership.

Succinctly put. An independent spirit can surely quash any together-nest.

One of the greatest partnerships was Diego and Frieda. They couldn't partner and yet they could not be without each other in some form or another.

Sometimes I envy Frieda. Oh, not her many infirmities but her ability to have her menudo and eat it too. A separate home for each but connected by a bridge (that tenuous cord.)

One thing for sure, I don't wanna die without my partner besides me, seeing me (or me him) off into the sunset. (Not that I have a choice.)

Happy trails to you...and remember lone wolves are rarely happy animals.
Freedom's just another word...
