I saw a flea
it lit on my cigarette
my sister's dog was the culprit
stinky little animal
with abandonment issues
but I'm not a shrink
he left a flea
and I told her
to get him dipped
before I babysit again
I don't mind one flea
I can flick one flea
it's two fleas that worry me
fleas

two or more can be a problem...insidious little bastards...nearly killed all of England with that rat flea that spread the Black Death...but this poem of course is much lighter than that...good advice, Lrod...now you have got us on our toes....

I think that I shall never see
a thing as loathsome as a flea
and how I thank the powers that be
for bringing boric acid to me,
it kills the fleas nontoxic
gentle, like a foxlick.
Indeed, fleas on a cig
I hope they died satisfied....
their little souls
carried off in smoke rings
