Hold me tightly
in the grasp of your imagination
and I will resist primal urges
to sabotage the gifts you offer,
and my mind will echo in kind....
a welding rod of possibility
that transforms molten prejudice,
facilitating the hybrid fusion of unity.

Let me bathe
in the celebration of our liquid oneness,
eschewing our twoness and threeness
as we build a collective brain
so powerful the traces of intolerance
will kneel before our feet
for the inclusive blessings of justice.

Let amalgamated love
be a force so irresistible,
hate is reduced to an impotent army
of outcasts, our melded minds marching
as a juggernaut of compassion
that envelops the tongues of ignorance
that still lick their angry reflections,
but scream inside for a breath of communal air.

Let us embrace
as long lost brothers absorbed in the sisterhood
of our common heart til we know all the members
of our family of working men and women,
our neo-clan squeezing the elite minority
that lives in white houses, with bearhugs
of universal love til they cry bloody uncle,
lost in redemptive translation,
disintegrating at final glance into crumbling
specks of yesterday.
