judih in my hemisphere

I felt this subtle change
like the caribou do
when there is a shift in magnetic north
and it is time for migration

yes, the iron filings had shifted
something was different in the solar system
forces were not ordinary

then I remembered
judih was in my hemisphere

rains up and shore's all toasty
grinding the coffee beans
where the sun don't shine
inside out grrrl (c/o jota)
her round midnight smile
doing the texas 2 step

shiver ye timbers, mates
the Scots bagpipe the morning dew
