Lou Reed's Metal Machine

Post by mnaz » August 10th, 2008, 3:14 pm

Natural conclusion.
When the genre finally peaks
it will be a flying buttress of feedback.
Soaring cathedral of spent aural woe.
Dance on square waves, drink metal.
I need to know a pinnacle is out there,
like Alaska is still out there,
all deaf and hunched over.

but still..
when skill eventually melts into noise..
(as was foretold by the profits)
You have to admit, he may have a point.

What happens, mnaz is that Kultur becomes a type of mafia. All over. Even here: it s not about creativity, but about control, insults, egotism. One reason I am not in lit. business.

Probably best to stick to non-fiction, and death to poets (or at least poetasters)--metaphorically speaking anyway.

Kultur is the mafia.
Yes, well done. Couldn't have said it better myself.

How else would one account for one P. Hilton?
She is intelligent, much maligned.

Even on the small-time boards one sees the Kultur wars, not to say the endlesss emotional manipulations common to poetasters.

Nearly enough to have some of us reach for like WO Quine.

Emotional manipulations are bad, no?
