You'll be sorry when the Iranians get the bomb.

They will come at us with their narrow-minded skin.
They will invade our circuits, get inside your brain tissue.
I've had some affairs, quite a few affairs by now.
I toted a G.I. M-16 rifle where they told me to go,
and it never once jammed.

When the Iranians come over the wall you'll thank me.
This is the Big One, the Clash of Civilizations.
When the sky gets all Gauguin and loud orange,
the pointlessness of a loud daisy stands out.
My grandfather worked in the shipyards.
Gunmetal gray is more solid.
This is the big one.

Big Sam will crush them like a roach underfoot caught in the overhead light just switched on. Sam spent mightily to protect his ass on nuclear arms that can decimate the entire world from (2) submarines... how's that for balls? Let 'em try, dammit... where's the fucking Strohs?

nazz,
this is a particularly strong piece
even for you

the images are vivid and the rhythm is brutal like the subject
it has action
colors are great

tip of my chapeau

bang, bang
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

The Poet's Eye

L.R., I'm just a little whacked these days. T.Y.
I'm reading this thing again... and "loud daisy"...
where did I get that one?

Cec: Exactly.

Interesting that you invoke the name of Gaugin who eshewed Western Civilization to live a primitave lifestyle. Sweet analogy
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

As I wrote this, I remember thinking there is lampoon buried in here somewhere as well... The "Clash of Civilizations" thing has been overblown and pimped by politicians, preachers and thieves for centuries. Too many pointless "debates" recently with the Limbaugh loud-speakers on other sites I guess... Ha!

Thanks for reading, everyone. Appreciate.
