Corpse Speak

Post by Lightning Rod » August 31st, 2008, 6:44 pm

When someone says, "think outside the box"
the first thing that I know is that they are thinking
inside the 'think outside the box' corporate slogan box

And 'don't re-invent the wheel' makes equal sense
if someone hadn't re-invented the wheel
we would still be rolling stones on logs

at the end of the day
drink the Kool-Aid
it will empower you
to be a first mover
get to the fast track
where you can be
up to speed

You might need a paradigm shift
which is different than 'thinking outside the box'
it lets you sell the sizzle not the steak
with secret sauce

you may be overqualified
under motivated
but if you're a team player
and understand the critical path
then you may make it to
dress-down Friday.

The critical path is the shortest route from
the employees lips to the boss's ass
but first you have to learn the lingo
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

I thought outside the box once,
realized that the box was just inside another box,
which was inside another box,
inside another box,
and so on.

I tried acid once too,
set my mind off like an A-bomb,
now, there are no more boxes.

ok, so what if your job was elucidating the universe, and you were under the unfortunate impression that the universe is somehow finite. ok smart guy, what's outside the universe then?

in order to think outside the box
I think you have to push the envelope
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

pushing the envelope that's resting inside the box can help your
bottom line.....corporate mumbo jumbo is the art of speaking without
any kind of real commitment to principles.....by speaking in generalities
they can always come back to the peons when management is caught with their hands in the cookie jar and their pants down, and stick them
with their crimes, by asserting that their subordinates simply misinterpreted what they were trying to say.....employee goes to jail,
boss takes a vacation......
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

If I ever get my hands on enough dough to give myself the funeral I want I will ask that they not embalm me, want to be stuffed with white bread.

hmmm,
well according to Zeno's location paradox
"if everything that exists has a place, place too will have a place, and so on ad infinitum"

therefore,
I exist in New York,
which exists in America,
which exists in North America,
which exists in the world,
which exists in the solar system,
which exists in the galaxy,
which exists in the universe,

now at this point either the universe goes on forever, or we got some kind of crazy multiverse going on.

seems like my stupid joke has a lot more meaning to it...
from one box to the next

"on the back of every bug
there is a smaller bug to bite 'im
and on his back a smaller bug
so on ad infinitum"
