LOL!!! you're a riot.

I don't drink. I can't. It's against my religion.

Speak for yourself.

And please fix the bandwidth theft problem. Thanks.

Steal it yourself if you want. Flickr is free.

He was a drunk.
... which kind of calls into question the premise of the original poem...
hard to hit 300 hangovers/year if perpetually drunk. I suppose the perpetually drunk are well aware of this.

Totenkopf

Buk's popularity with the gauchistes puzzles a bit. He loved Celine (pal of some SS officers at end of WWII). Ezra Hound. And boxing. Classical muzak (he had good taste, it seems). Lots of anti-semitic and racist hints to his writing. Guess all that's forgiveable when gazing at CB's Poetic Golden gloves card.

Methinks CB's overrated too in terms of poetic innovation. Sincerity and noir-realism de la roo--- Eh. Boring really, like old photographs of New Yawk n Chi-town slums. It's the Buk vibe that draws in the customers---with boo-coo Ho-wood cred. Even a phreak like Corso more of a "poet" qua poet. Jus sayin'/.

BUK said, "The wife is out at the moment,
Maybe we could hang out,
and Be In."
