I noticed that, I think it was written in 1994. It seems kind of dated now.As for Fogel—not too familiar with his considerable work. He seems a fine scholar of economic theory, but those “Great Awakenings,” hmmm. Interesting. Especially the Fourth one. To be fair though, he wrote “The Fourth Great Awakening” before the nightmare of BU$HCO unfolded.

I have actually read a good bit of the Decline and Fall of The Roman Empire. About a thousand pages. I don't think I will live long enough to finish it. What interested me is how a competent emperor would arise and stop the decline for a while only to be succeeded by another who would start the downward spiral again.

There is no better term than propaganda blitzkrieg to describe what has been unleashed against Christian conservatives recently.
