i wasn't referring to your question jack. i was referring to the prevailing winds of snipe that seems to blow on and on and on - not on this poem per se (though it fits) but on threads throughout the site. i'm not telling anyone to change their style - who am i to mandate - but i think everybody knows what i mean. we are artists in a forum that is art generated; we must regain our focus and strive to create art and not animosity.

It was Doreen's question, but no matter.
I would have asked the same question.
Last thing on my mind was starting a flame war, pouring gasoline on a fire.
I was raised by a paranoid father, he was always accusing me of "stabbing him in the back" Accidently maybe Clay punched my ticket by accusing me of stabbing him in the back.
Oh what a brave new world

The link to the article about RPG's seems irrelevant.
But this is just a game I think.
Clay, Freud has an interesting article on men and their chocie of love objects. How we over value them more than women do thiers. He was a strange old man, his theories so bizzare hard for mee me to figure out why women like Turkle at MIT are still so interested in his theories.
I like John D McDonald's Travis McGee novels a lot.
He had a line of in one
"A friend is someone you can say any tom fool thing to and still remind friends"
You have tripped my trigger twice in the past two days.
Nothing to do with you I don't think
I appologize for the rude remarks.
The reference to the great balls was me trying to make a little joke about those brass balls of yours. NOthin in my replies to justify your remarks.
I am just out here looking for a good death.
I am two years over due for another cat scan of that thing down in my left lung. My brain is saying good bye to my ass. I am going through my fears like Grant took Richmond.
Smoke um if you got them.
I been wondering do the cigarettes affect your flute playing?
I know my wind is not what it used to be. I get out of breath just talking.
At first I thought that the reference to The Killer might be some kind of threat against Doreen. But I think it was just a play on the word Lotta lotta.
At least I hope so.
Constantine I would have liked to met your father too.

he posted the song you asked the question about.
The Jerry Lee Lewis song Whole lotta shaking.
Lewis's show biz nick name was "The Killer."
But then in 1984 or 1985
Rolling stone did an article on him that all but accused him of murdering at least one of his wives. And the nickname "The Killer" took on new meaning.

Question: Why is Jerry Lee Lewis known as "The Killer"?
Answer: Many people assume that Jerry got his famous nickname because of his wild and often violent nature, but the fact is that Jerry Lee had a habit of calling acquaintences "killer," the same way we might say "buddy" or "dude." (This was not an uncommon use of the word for a man in North Louisiana in the postwar period.) So the name stuck to Jerry... to this day, he greets some folks with the appellation "killer" (usually, it is said, when he's forgotten their names!).
