Jam on, rock on, that's what I gotta say. I've grown to love you all, okay maybe not mingo sometimes when he pisses me off or something from back in the stone ages, but really I love you all and maybe I will finally get my ass back east to meet some of you avatars this year. Been talkin about it for 3 or 4 years now...

stuck in the jam
with all it's wonderful stickiness
no claustrophobia
hanging with the poets
from deep inside
the mixture of sugar and fruit
step right up to the word bar
sidle on up upon your stool
take a long slow drink
of community, let it roll
down your throat, settle
into your gut with all it's healthy
bacteria to digest, and the waste
is never wasted, it's a byproduct
of effort and revolution, of
love
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

cool cats
&
no-thing to stand!

creams, greens & greys
from the open windows

few birds, buses & cars
& someone constructing outside

The miracle of the net...
No, really. And much praise for
one Levi Asher (as he was known then),
who grasped the miracle and ran with it,
who got me writing, got me going.
Beyond programming code and wires
and Big Tech and perils of Web living,
he brought a big jolt of inspiration..

Levi guru
Yesterday
Life was such an
easy game to play
Them was good daze
Nipped in the bud
A long, long time ago
We go on
We jam
We smile
A remnant
12 years +
Of jams and plans
It's all here
Train horn sounds 4:50 am.
The day's march on

four-thirty
dusk
the dog and I
return to the car
parked at the trailhead
and today
we see something
we haven't seen before
at four-thirty -
a sliver of sunlight
piercing the treetops
playing upon
the car's rear deck
the day's final moment
gaining strength
holding at bay
the darkness
for a few minutes longer
each day
.

west past new greening fields
sun still proud at five
