I’m equally untested with the boys
as with the girls because I need to love
the person whom I love and haven’t yet
it seems. I’ve broached a modest handful of
relationships with people who have writ
on me in verses passionate; I’ve thought
I love you and I’ve thought you’ve disagreed
and so I’ve left and waited more—swift speed
of service hasn’t been the love I’ve sought
regardless. So I wait—and desperate
for love, I love myself and solely love
the one I am, which isn’t bad. I’ll bet
I’m not alone. I long for you and of
your faithful touch—but waiting still annoys.
