your memeories with mine: we claimed we loved
each other, young and stupid, but believed
as fervently as Next would follow Now
with life continual. Do you recall
how certain we had seemed of hope?
I never questioned love when we were kissed
by love's idealistic fervor, when we were kissed
by one another. Think on me and grope
for history we share and let it fall
like love had fallen: tenderly, like how
our cosmos-jeweled night-touch hands retrieved
their diamond glimmers on the dawn and moved
away in peace with dignity, respect.
