A drop of water

Swan dives.
Breast strokes.
Angled images,
all pummeling down.

Glorious sunrays,
blurred visions.
Insidiously, waitlessly,
you swim on to death.

Graceful in abandon,
awe yes, the slo-mo years.
But alas, alack,
the way up dwindles.

Disappears behind you,
into a darkening blur.
Crushes, crushes,
flattens you to pancake.

Squeezes, squeezes you,
to just a drop of water.
Soul ingredient needed,
for life to originate in.

Hester, You write in such mellifluous lines, please sing some of those things even without your good piano backup. Those kinda things would be so wonderful to hear!
