La mañana— cuando el verano
de cierre no es todavía
demasiado caliente y
cuando la luz ambiente es más
bien clara, no brillante— allí
las agujas del pino son verdes
olivas o azules; allí las
hojas caducas, sí, son nada más
que de luto puro sus colores
que vienen. El lapislázuli,
su cielo como muchos demás—
hay las constelaciones aquí
de pájaros sobre una Vía
Dolorosa— ya todo es sano.
roughly:
The morning— when the closing
summer is not yet
too hot and
when the ambient light is rather
clear, not bright— there
the pine needles are olive green
or blue; there the deciduous leaves, yes, are nothing more
than of pure mourning their coming
colors. The lapis lazuli,
its sky like so many others—
there are constellations here
of birds upon a Via
Dolorosa— already all is healthy.
HA! And I made it through one without invoking Love! HA! I so rock....
