it is in these autumnal moments
that i wear like a necklace the apples of your love

each pearl knotted by a festival of dream
each dream a carnival, like a parade
in fancy dress
a traveling show of performing acrobats
where i am the clown
the entertainer
for your amusement
when you are bored, beloved.

but knots become loose in the high autumn
of sea
full of salt and weed and fallen poetry
like the clang of a ships broken bell
metallic and cold, full of rust and moss

then you will look for kisses in the sand
wailing, like a dog, in search of his bone
digging

O beloved
it is in these autumnal moments
that i clear the window-pane fog

I wanna hear this read aloud with a dignified British accent by a speaker on the point of a jetty while the ocean is going mad. I don't know how I missed this one. Sweet. Next time we duet, you start!

Thank you everyone, you're all too kind *smile* and Joel? Me thinks my accent is far from the British one unfortunately. I did read it out loud though and - for you, i might just record.

Thanks again
