sweaty dusty old renovation to 80 year old house with creaks and cracks of all gone before bones giving into weight of past wear - skin shedding - peeling along pained cracks of time - shingles wrotting - falling from weathered scalp - pipes rusting from inside out - boiler coughs & strains with consumptive spew - all to be anew - guys working - damn commpressor kicks in - rattling chatter - air guns thwat thwat thwat - old pine floor boards naked to above and below - layers peeled away - bright yellow linoleum - oh the 70's - thin stripped oak - brittle splintered original - how many lives & deaths to tell - plaster wall hardened 3 layers thick pressed into lathe strips - now falling away at the slightest provocation - cell phones ringing - singing - samba rythming - bosses clients wives and kids - life on the job site keeps on turning - measuring checking - designers' drawings - changing once its' built - potlights and switches switches switches - plugs in the baseboard - heat in the floor - windows up higher down lower left right - garbage by the ton - distribution of waste - old pipes out new ones in - same with wires frayed and ready to burn - designers architects engineers - revise revise revise - materials - hard soft long short concrete stone & sand gravel spruce pine fir gypsum plaster plastic fiberglass oak maple walnut - all trees how many - steel & glass - from around the globe - on site - listen to Russian Polish Italian Portuguese - lots of Spanish now - an Aussie last year - now he was different - in all weather we toil away blazing sun & knee deep snow - wind & rain _ and all this a circus of circles & squares smoke & mirrors - yes sir no ma'am - lets' just get it done......
A: Hola... sorry I came three hour later, but the other job get complicated and...

B: yeah
A: what do yo do?
B: I´m a teacher
A: kids or big kids?
B: 11 to 13
A: where?
B: southwest.......
A: there!!?? they must be terrible!!
B: maybe I kill four or five before the end of the year, but they are ok

A: and the building is ...
B: from the sixties or seventies, I don´t know...
A: well, this must be rubber but is no more flexible... look!, wow!!
B: well, it looks like you discover a fosil, don´t be exagerado!

B: what?, the students are not canillas...and I have better things to do instead of looking inside of all the canillas of this place!, just do your job...
A: I´m in the school again
B: yeah?
A: I´m studying at night to install and repair aires acondicionados!!
B: well, it sounds good!
A: ahh, and it seems yesterday when I had 30 person in charge and we were installing natural gas in all the litoral provinces!! (he tells what he earnt in an hour in dollars in those days..)
B: wooowww!! so you are rich man now!!
A: Do you think I would be doing this if I were a rich man??
B: I don´t know, maybe you keep it as a hobby...!!
A: no, no, no...!! a bad socio and this country..., you know...!
B: oh...
A: and I have three kids!! two of them are studying!!
B: good!
A: I work hard!!

B: so... it´s done already?
A: yeah!
B: how much is it?
A: who will pay?
B: who?! I´ll pay you!

B: 150!!! it´s too much for what you finally done!!

A: hola!! I arrived in time today!
B: hola, come in. It´s the kitchen this time
B: tell me how much before you start, ok?. I´ll be working in the computer...
A: ok... let´s see... I think I can do the job for 70
B: ok, I´ll be busy in the next room
