Good-night, good-bye, my friend

When soon you see what vibrancy pretend
realities afford, when visions swell
with clarities of supernatural
abilities unquestioned, and you play
with liberated, laughed ontology—
when all the universe is possible
you’ll die a night’s dormition and I’ll live
to leave, but first my benediction give
you in a last acoustic lovesong full
of rambled lullaby psychology—
a whispered blessing for the road— and pray
for you who wanders supranatural
and say to you, “Good-night, sleep well—
Sweet dreams, farewell— Good-night, good-bye, my friend.”
