decorate me now

I’m ready: come and decorate me now
while poured and level-headed, fresh and wet
and eager like a setting canvas side-
walk. Decorate me now with handprints and
whatever slick graffiti of a whim
you muster. Decorate me now; adorn
me in my present willingness; deface
my bland stability—and I’ll embrace
the changes not as scars to somehow mourn,
but rather as the blemishes of him
whom you have loved enough to impact, grand
accomplice of the love in whom I hide
the secrets of my engineering. Set
me up as walkways greater paths endow.
