Winged ascension, butterfly flip-flop flight—
iambic pentameter aside, I
ride as smoothly unidirectional
and as steadily ahead as any
bicycled manpower cobblestone road
allows me travel: jagged, jumpy joy
of but a bit more freedom, liberty—
within the lines only literally,
an internal vacation to enjoy
supernal variation ’til I goad
myself to order once again; many
thanks for haphazard, unconventional
harlequineity of butterfly
ventures—the journey’s been a vast delight.
