The wonderers wounds

Post by serious8 » November 6th, 2007, 10:15 am

I
I did survive
The wreckage of rust
Links of lost lives
And the willingness
Through the moss
And endless messages in the bottle
I was twisted
Through ports
No bigger
Then a newborns fist
To another
From a land of the same tongue
As my age has been challenged
By the welts and brandings
That covers my skin
And for the families who
Have sold me
Continuing to restrain
Until the day of the river
Running in my direction
Abandoning all the masters
And the drumming that will take me there
Dissolving the chains
While being welcomed home
