red hot tub

reading brautigan
rommel invading
africa, written on
a spinning ghost
desert air rarified.

oral surgery

remembering the
blinds ripple as
the sodium pentethol
countdown, 99,98,97,
96,95...took hold....
flash of dreams, then I
awoke in nurses bosom.

he had the casbah

the flame of fire
feather in her hat
diamond ring torched
the night when paul
bowles fell into her
ravenous clutches.

moonshine express

first flight or was it
the second coming
the couple next to me
poured chivas regal
salutations on my sweet
corn liquor smile as the
flight circled big apple.

the fountainhead

"I have the book!" she
said, yet he never read it
all the guys in line could
do was wonder why her fly
was down as she turned red.

raising a daughter

he was a coach and a
strong shoulder, a bottom-
less pocket of endless
advice that was taken to
the university of party.

done gone and did it

they wrestled all night
party on the beach, then
escape to bluegrass
adventure that lead to
a 60 mph ride on pick-up
roof culminating on the
blacktop of all yer life flies
by before your very eyes......WIREMAN
