As Frost Melts In His Grave

Post by e_dog » December 13th, 2007, 1:36 am

As the American poet Robert Frost wrote, “Some say the world will end in fire; some say in ice.” Either, he notes, “would suffice.” But neither need be our fate. It is time to make peace with the planet
-- Al Gore
Nobel acceptance speech Oslo Norway 2007
Rob said the world could end in fire
or maybe ice.
For what I've tasted of desire
I sing with those who play the lyre.
But if I had to roll the dice
I b'lieve that Vanilla Ice
was quite a goof
and not so nice.

Al said the sea might rise above
from melting ice.
From what I seen of jilted love
I'd not wait for Freedom's dove.
But if the child indeed has lice
Fleece that kid
Or pay the price.

Some say that Al's a liar
Some: that's not nice.
From what I've pasted as a flier
I hold with those who favor pliers
If you seem to disfavor fire.
Know this world's s'tuation's dire.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.
