Didn't Bush get the memo?
Okay, with Reagan I could see it,
given his runaway 1946 movie set,
not to mention the prolific camera time,
and the buried missiles aimed at the bear,
and we could put them in the sky to make sure.
It seems clear they were asking for it.
Over there.
But to divide and conquer now,
in the land of six, seven battle-tested billion?
You tell me. This is now an interactive poem.
Hadn't planned it that way.

the world is so chock full of abuse,
one hardly knows where to point the bomb,
and all those stockpiled weapons of destruction,
ours or theirs, theirzorourz, ourzortheirz, 2 be safe,
and a quiet lullaby of better living thru nuclear physics,
to be safe, to insure a knockout punch if it came to that,
in a new test poll the equations worked out perfectly,
a billion or so stunned souls since einstein or so,
way before its time melted down on the vine,
so do not dismiss the weapon makers,
for they have a vision.

i love the first 2 lines i quoted especially...
You, sir, have said it well
and i hear it in my head like spoken word -
Let's call them up and speak it to them
on days when they aren't on the pulpit
speaking –– Blessed are the warmakers,
for they shall inherit a destroyed planet
and have to figure out if it's possible to
start all over

Thanks Doreen. Every once in a while, I gotta riff it, get it off my chest, 'fo betta o' fo' worse, so please bear with.........
I regress and act childish,
and a child sees it most clearly.
power does something to us, inverts us,
steals our dignity and money, perverts us,
and it all seemed so decent on the big screen,
the tongue-waggin', lipsmackin' big bucket o' grief,
hunter s. in some vegas bar watching nixon on the TV,
talkin' sacrifice, build your altar on on the blowing sands,
march off to civilize the uncivilized lands, lumber in hand,
at the stately marble foundation of make the almighty buck,
watch the ground bubble up, watch the corner start to lean,
if i could turn off this blank screen machine i might be seen,
and what's left of power but parody and where have i been?
good question.

Finger on the button, button on the mind,
steel bone connected to the mind bone,
mind bone connected to the gun bone,
let it be, let it be, let it be, oh let it be,
bullet words of vision, set us free!
sorry folks... on a roll...
gettin' outside myself again.
time to go get a beer or something.
yeah, parody... try that, maybe..

the city life is not wearing well,
grim concrete canyons, filthy ice crust.
work in a gray box in a gray room by a gray window,
cars unceasing, steel and glass toward more of same,
gray boxes and gray windows, and more subtle shades.
By day bankers trade them; at night they throw a switch.
Yesterday's news tumbles through black sheen canyons,
mighty steel thrusts unplugged, at the moon's mercy,
where cold, ashen light misses the horizon.

".....where cold, ashen light misses the horizon..."
......where I pacing in my gray box,
see it,
and my longing for freedom,
gushbursts in technicolor
abandon.
I like this side of you Mnaz, it's fiery, unhesitate and bold.

T.Y. Hest.
Just riffin', nothing big.
This time of year just grinds away at me,
and i mean that more than just metaphorically.

Pushing like a dealer for his "Star Wars" defence plan
But Congress said no dice
Then Ronnie said in one of his Presidential weekly radio speeches
As a joke I think it went like this
His words were "We've outlawed the Soviet Union and the bombing will begin immediately"
Nice to see that his joke frighten them over there
It made them more vigilant towards us
Now more was put into the madness instead of less
Thank you Ronnie Reagan you god damn idiot
Hey mnaz!!!!
Time to make plans
Get out of the city
Get away from it
Do it for a while
Climbing the walls
Because they're closing in on you
Head out into the country
Gather up a huge stock pile
Dead Kennedys
Jello Biafra
Henry Rollins
Henry David Thoreau
That will bring everything back
Into alignment for you
Best of luck always!!!!

I´ve heard beautiful visions
from a minute-before unknown people
& I´ve measured parodies
while I wondered my part in them
& and I felt in the middle of nothing and everything
loving something
tv-world-minutes at shower time
yellow fever
& egyptian mockering
so screen-away
(I have to read the newspapers!

)
