a praise for laziness


I'd have cut my wrists
an' lied in the tub
but it was too grimey and moldy
an' i was too lazy to clean.

Anyone who could cobble together books of poetry entitled, 'death and taxes', or 'not so deep as a well', in the twenties. Well, the possibilities are endless, or at least foreseen.

Maoists tossed the old scribes and poets and other imperial aesthetes into rice paddies, not without some justification. Poesy follows the harvest, though the comrades (and par-tay bosses) probably prefer a bit of chopin
