Look in the mirror sometime
this is not a metaphor, an idle literary request
I really want you to look in a mirror
a real mirror
you will notice that you can't see yourself blink.
you can see yourself wink, but you can't see yourself blink
so you don't know what you look like when you blink
mirrors are great tools
of self-knowlege
but they don't reveal everything

we also have human mirrors
but they don't see everything either
everybody blinks

even technology blinks
computers crash
the network fails
the connection drops

Look in the mirror sometime
but don't think that you are seeing
everything
even the mirror blinks

I hardly ever look into a mirror anymore
I go days sometimes.
It is not the age in my eyes
but something else that spooks me

It is something in the room behind me
A Reflection of a lost home


Still a slave to the past

I looked in the mirror.

I said "mirror mirror on the wall, who's the least fucked up of all"

It blinked!

there's 1 in bathroom
sometimes i'll comb my
hair there or trim my
fast growing beard
you do that mirror poem
so majestically lrod
one of my fave performances
all time....no lie.......

plus, I can't read my T shirt properly. I can't even get left and right straight sometimes, let alone wink vs. blink.
