First Bloom

Springs first blossoms
Delicate in the resurrected sun
Like loves first bloom,
Fragile,
Easily destroyed.
A late frost is all it would take
To send this first breath of life
Back to the unknown from
Which it arose.
Can it survive the harsh light?
Or cold frost of the season?
Only time will tell
Only time will tell.

time will kill them, anyway
(replace the first line
with a more poetic one  )
enjoy them
as they are!! :)

fragility fields
take care if you can
& let it be

nice read at autumm´s border!!!!!

Lovely poem
I have been watching the budding leaves of my Rose of Sharon
and wondering the same thing

time will kill them anyway?
But for everthing there is a season
if frost kills the blossoms
there will be no fruit

this poem, like it's subject, is fragile

I love fragile poems, ones that will break if you contemplate their meanings
