I named my cat Mystic
thinking it would translate
into not having to feed her

The logic was that she could absorb
whatever nutrients a cat requires
from the secret serums found in air

Like the ancient mystics
[cats are Zen]

I named my dog Anubis
hoping for some favor at the scales
but the damn mutt’s an idiot
(keeps falling down the stairs)
and a feathers quite the counterweight.

dose a dog have Buddha nature?
