My Beard Is Too Long

Post by Lightning Rod » April 26th, 2008, 11:47 am

I missed several opportunities to die young
it's a damned shame really, I could have been Rimbaud
I think the beard is too long.

much as classical musicians don't understand improvisation
(they can say the alphabet backwards and walk a straight line)
I don't understand how commerce relates to love

someone once told me the definition of a social retard
but I don't remember what it was.
I should have died young
I could have had an open casket
a pretty corpse
now the beard is too long
and I know too much to die
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

I shaved today but couldn't get rid of all those bills.

Ah well, youth is wasted on youth and all that.
We all know too much.

great lament, LRod.

love this:
someone once told me the definition of a social retard
but I don't remember what it was.
