a ball of once
i used to watch for complications
until i found it too complicating
sorting out the complicated
from the complex did
nothing for my complexion
so i resorted to simplicity
but lost many acquaintances
due to my lack of interest
in their complications
which i no longer had

just
say
no
to logarithmic logjams
of logistical loggerheads,
to labyrinthine laboratories
labeled laboriously long,
to voluminous validations
of volition...

J & M, i'm grateful you two were around last night. thx for the kind words. we all know how pleasant it is to read those. let's do it some more, eh?

this is something i'm learning slowly, mtmynd.
I think my worry is that I'll do it too well and fall into genuine apathy.
I enjoyed this little piece. not too complicated.

i've been lying in quiet after reading your replies hoping i didn't become complicated after reading them. i don't think i have. but time is insistent and it delivers the sometimes unnecessary-ist of messages. we heed them or pass them off as intrusions. i try to heed the simplification of acceptance in all its diversity. it works mostly. thanks.
