Lucky or Good?

"I'd rather be lucky than good"
this is what my grandfather used to say
when he made a really good golf shot
that took a fortuitous bounce

being lucky takes preparation
suppose you get a lucky break
and you haven't done your homework?
winning the lottery has ruined many lives

I'd rather be lucky and pretty good.

it's funny, I'm pretty good, but I haven't gotten lucky in a good while....
much complexity within the conservation of words...

Your dry wit and homespun philosophy are used to great effect. I love your work.

does there have to
be or not be a choice

target is a quarter mile away and
it's yor goal, there's mucho practice and
skill involved.....hey Lrod are we
ever gonna hit balls someday?????

When I'm good, I'm lucky.
When I'm lucky, I'm good.

So it goes.
